Welcome!

Julie Hammonds is a freelance writer/editor and the associate editor of Arizona Wildlife Views magazine. She writes about people, nature, travel and adventure.

Latest news!

  • Thanks, ACI! Julie took home two awards this year from the contest hosted by the Association for Conservation Information.
  • Two pieces of Julie's "flash fiction" have just been published in an anthology. "Cold Flashes: Literary Snapshots of Alaska," edited by Michael Engelhard, is a collection of one-pagers and black-and-white photos on Alaskan themes. It's available at bookstores.
  • Julie will have an article about wildlife watching in the November-December issue of Arizona Wildlife Views. This year for the first time, that issue will include a full-size wall calendar with prize-winning photographs from our annual wildlife photo contest. The best way to read her article is to subscribe.
